Spiritual Growth Group (Proposed)
When Carol Bolstad was a member of Saint Nicholas Mission [in the years prior to her ordination], she facilitated a “Faith Sharing Group.” Her initial invitation read as follows: “If you are longing for a safe space to share your faith journey, study scripture deeply, or wrestle with today's issues and how we are challenged by our faith to respond, you may find that this welcoming group is for you.”
After the group had been active for some time, Carol reported to our annual meeting: "[The Faith Sharing Group] has been a wonderful time of sharing in an intimate space. It has been a small gathering from 2 - 4 of us, usually 3 of us, but it is rich and has been a safe space in which we can freely wrestle with the scriptures."
As we bring Saint Nicholas Ministries out of hiatus we are toying with the idea of a similar group in our “Upper ZOOM.” We envision this group meeting twice a month but haven’t decided as yet whether it will meet on weekdays or weekends, evenings or mornings, etc., etc. …
